At the front of the building, the main circular court with its central fountain has such a lovely view that is often used during the ceremony or reception as a backdrop to the bride’s dramatic entrance down the front steps of the villa. Arched entryways, curved columns, tiled staircases and the prodigious use of fancy ironwork add grace and drama to the crisp white façade. Presiding over the property at the top of a hill is the 17,000-square-foot sprawling Colonial Spanish style residence. Rachel and Dan originally planned on a larger, full scale, summer soiree at the Ojai Valley Inn but decided they didn't want to wait another year and instead had an intimate affair at Hummingbird Nest Ranch. This gorgeous Hummingbird Nest Ranch wedding was my season closer what an incredible way to end the year! It feels like something out of a movie, right?Īnyway - after the rollercoaster of postponements, cancellations, pivoting and the rest of life, it turned out to be a really neat year of weddings after all! Still, today, I cant believe it was all real. Like so many others, it was instantly changed due to the unexpected pandemic. Last year started off as one of the best seasons of my career. ![]()
